Turn Trauma into triumph

Ask Retha was created for those who’ve stood in the ashes of what used to be — and are now asking, “Where do I even begin?” You may not have chosen this path, but you do get to choose how you walk it.

My Story

The Heart of Ask Retha

On the 8th of June 2021, my life was split in two — before the fire, and after. That night, I lost my home. But more painfully, I lost Dave, Kate, and Max — my world. The fire stole everything familiar, but it gave me one thing: a promise.

A promise that their lives, their memory, and even my pain, would one day help someone else through theirs. That promise became Ask Retha. In the months that followed, I found myself searching for signs — some days it was a feather appearing out of nowhere.

A whisper in the silence. A sense I wasn’t alone. Those signs helped me get through the darkest hours. And now, I want to offer the same quiet strength to you.

Because whether you’ve lost your home, your sense of safety, or a piece of your heart — there is life after fire.

Not the same life, but a life still worth living. You don’t need to know the way forward. You just need to take the next step. And if you’d let me, I’d be honored to take it with you.

Book Teaser

Pain to Purpose

This isn’t just a book — it’s a lifeline.
Pain to Purpose is the story of what it means to lose everything, and still choose to rebuild. It’s a book written from the ashes, but made entirely of light.

It’s still in creation, but it’s coming.
And when it’s ready — I hope it reaches the version of you that needs it most.
